1. Introduction Welcome to my professional academic editing service. By using this service, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms outline my editing process, services, fees, and policies.
2. Scope of Services I provide professional English editing for academic manuscripts, ensuring correct grammar, scientific clarity, and readability. My services include:

3. Journal Formatting If journal guidelines are provided, I will ensure that your manuscript adheres to them. This includes:

Using the journal’s required spelling style (British/American English)

Checking compliance with word limits (word count reduction available for an extra fee)

Formatting title pages, abstracts, and sections according to journal requirements

Checking references and citations for journal style consistency
4. File Submission and Editing Method

Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format.

Edits will be provided using the Track Changes feature in Microsoft Word.

If figures and tables require editing, they should be submitted in PowerPoint or Excel formats.

One round of minor revisions is included for free before journal submission.
5. Turnaround Time

Standard editing (≤5,000 words): 3-5 business days

Longer manuscripts (5,000-10,000 words): 5-7 business days

Major revisions (peer review responses, extensive re-edits): Custom timeframe

Longer manuscripts (>10,000 words) and multi-part projects: Custom timeframe
6. Fees and Payment

Standard Editing: $65 per 1,000 words

Cover Letter Writing: $40

Major Revisions (After Peer Review): Two-tier pricing

New text only: Charged at standard rate per word

Extensive style/phrasing edits: 50% of total word count

Reference Formatting: $2 per reference

Detailed Journal Formatting (including Transfer to Journal Template): Custom pricing, typically $45

Response Letter Check: $20 per 1,000 words with accompanying edit (as separate task: custom pricing)

Response Letter Writing: $55 per 1,000 words of corresponding manuscript

A 50% deposit is required before editing begins.

Payment of the balance is required prior to receiving the final edit.

Payment accommodations may be possible for institutional clients.
7. Revisions and Additional Charges

One round of minor revisions before journal submission is included.

Additional rounds of minor revision are subject to a $30 fee per round.
- If major revisions are required after submission, additional fees apply.

Cover letter and abstract writing are available for additional charges.

Requests for additional services after the initial submission may extend the turnaround time and may be subject to additional fees.
8. Confidentiality and Security

All manuscripts are treated with strict confidentiality.

Client information and documents are never shared with third parties.

I do not provide plagiarism checking or similarity detection services.
9. Communication and Progress Updates

Regular progress updates are not typically provided unless explicitly agreed upon at the start of a project.

Clients will be notified upon the completion of their manuscript.

Frequent or persistent update requests may delay the editing process.
10. Refund and Cancellation Policy

If a project is canceled before editing begins, a partial refund may be available.

Once editing has started, no refunds will be issued.

Rejecting or disliking editorial suggestions is not grounds for a refund.

I do not guarantee publication—final acceptance depends on the journal’s peer review process.
